An Honor Roll Recognition Ceremony to celebrate students who have achieved Honor Roll or Distinguished Honor Roll status will be held on May 16th at 8:30 am in the Cypress Woods Auditorium. Students will receive an invitation through their English class the week of May 1st.
Students receiving an individual academic award will be recognized at our annual Academic Awards Ceremony to be held on May 17th at 6:30 pm at the Richard E. Berry Center. If a student is receiving an individual academic award and has qualified for Honor Roll or Distinguished Honor Roll, they will attend this event only – not the Honor Roll Recognition Ceremony. Senior honor graduates (G.P.A. greater than 6.0) will be presented with their honor cords at this event. Students will receive an invitation through their English class the week of May 1st.
Award recognition status is not officially determined until after the end of the 5th Grading Period. Students must maintain all A’s for all 5 grading periods to be determined “Distinguished” OR must earn more A’s than B’s for all 5 grading periods to be determined “Honor Roll”. Students qualifying for either honor roll must not earn less than an “S” in conduct.
Per Grading Period
Local credit classes do not count towards honor roll status (Student Assistance, Early Release, Late Arrival, Pass/Fail, Cheer/Spring, and Algebra Lab)
