CFISD names new principal for Hamilton Elementary School

April 21, 2025Brandy Breaux, assistant principal at Swenke Elementary School, was named the principal of Hamilton Elementary School on April 21. Breaux replaces Sage Papaioannou, who will retire in June.

Breaux has 25 years of experience in education. She began her career as a classroom teacher in St. Mary Parish School Board in Bayou Vista and Patterson, Louisiana. She also served as a summer school principal and assistant principal from 2013-2015.

In 2015, She came to CFISD as a classroom teacher at Pope Elementary School and was promoted to assistant principal at Thornton Middle School in 2018. She moved into her current role as assistant principal at Swenke in 2021. Breaux has also served as summer school principal at Lamkin Elementary School and Emery Elementary School.

Breaux earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in 2000 from Louisiana State University and her Master in K-12 Educational Leadership in 2011 from Nicholls State University.
