March 3, 2025—Byrd Elementary School second grade student Lucy Cavnar-Johnson is applauded by her teachers for always going above and beyond.

Accomplishments: Cavnar-Johnson is a distinguished honor roll student, is the best helper and works well with her classmates. She always has a positive attitude, is a star student and makes sure they everyone is prepared.

Favorite class: “My favorite class is math because I get to do fractions, and my math teacher is also teaching me multiplication. I’m very excited about that. Math is really fun because we get to do ‘write the room.’”

Favorite things to do after class: “My favorite thing to do after school is eat food and relax on the couch while I play on my switch. Sometimes, I do STMath or Amira.”

Favorite song: “My favorite song is One Last Time by Ariana Grande.”

Favorite website/app: “My favorite app is Canva because I get to make presentations.”

Favorite TV show: “My favorite TV show is Jessie on Disney+.”

Favorite movie: “My favorite movie is Moana 2 because I like that Moana goes on many adventures.”

Ambition: “I want to get to the competition level in gymnastics. I am not going to quit until I get to that level.”

What topics/things are you passionate about?: “I am passionate about gymnastics and school.”

What inspires you?: “I am inspired by all of my teachers because I want to be a teacher.”

What three things can’t you live without?: “I can’t live without my mom, the blanket I’ve had since I was very little and school.”
