Cy Springs, Cy Falls girls’ basketball teams advance to regional semifinal

Feb. 18, 2025—The Cypress Springs and Cypress Falls high school girls’ basketball teams advanced past the area round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs and move on to the regional semifinal round while Cypress Ranch and Bridgeland high schools concluded their seasons.

Cypress Springs defeated College Park, 73-26. The Panthers will advance to face Desoto at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 18 at Pflugerville Hendrickson High School (19201 Colorado Sand Drive).

Cypress Falls defeated Cinco Ranch, 61-50. The Golden Eagles will advance to face Summer Creek at 6 p.m. on Feb. 18 at Klein Cain High School (10201 Spring Cypress Road).

Tickets for Cypress Falls will be sold online and are $5 each for adults and students. Tickets for Cypress Springs will be sold through Pflugerville ISD.

Cypress Ranch was defeated by Aldine Nimitz, 51-33. The Mustangs completed the season as area finalists.

Bridgeland was defeated by the Woodlands, 73-67. The Bears completed the season as area finalists.
