Cypress Springs girls’ basketball team advances to UIL regional final
The Cypress Springs High School girls’ basketball team claimed the regional semifinal round championship title after defeating DeSoto, 78-27. The Lady Panthers will enter the UIL regional final round to meet Lancaster at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 22 at Waco University High School.

The Cypress Springs High School girls’ basketball team claimed the regional semifinal round championship title after defeating DeSoto, 78-27. The Lady Panthers will enter the UIL regional final round to meet Lancaster at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 22 at Waco University High School.

Feb. 21, 2025—The Cypress Springs High School girls’ basketball team advanced past the regional semi-final round of UIL Class 6A playoffs and move on to the regional final round, while Cypress Falls High School concluded its season.

Cypress Springs defeated DeSoto in the semifinal round, 78-27. The Lady Panthers will advance to face Lancaster at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 22 at Waco University High School (3201 S. New Road).

Tickets will be sold online through Waco ISD and are $5 each for adults and students.

Summer Creek defeated Cypress Falls, 59-40. The Lady Eagles completed the season as the District 17-6A champions and regional semifinalists with an overall record of 28-6.
