Aug. 24, 2023—Tonya Hall, director of instruction at ALC-East, was named the new principal at the campus on Aug. 24. Hall replaces Andrea Lagard, who was named the principal at Watkins Middle School on Aug. 4.

Hall has 19 years of experience in education. Her career began as a business team leader at Cypress Falls High School, serving in the role for five years.

In 2014, Hall moved into administration where she became an academic achievement specialist at Cypress Springs High School. She accepted her current director of instruction position at ALC-East in 2022.

Hall is a graduate of Cypress Falls High School and earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Sam Houston State University. She earned her Master in Educational in Administration from Lamar University.

“I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to serve and support the students and staff as the new principal at ALC-East,” Hall said. “I look forward to continuing the tradition of excellence and commitment as we strive to build lifelong learners and dynamic leaders of tomorrow.”
