Cy Ranch boys’ basketball team advances to Region II-6A tournament

March 1, 2024—The Cypress Ranch High School boys’ basketball team advanced past the region quarterfinal round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs and move on to the region semifinals.

Cypress Ranch defeated Conroe College Park, 59-52, in overtime to advance.

The Region II-6A tournament will be March 1-2 at the Panther Activity Center in Lufkin (309 S. Medford Drive). Cypress Ranch will play Mansfield Lake Ridge in the second tournament semifinal at 7:30 p.m. on March 1.

Both region semifinal winners will meet at 1 p.m. on March 2. The Region II-6A champion advances to the UIL Basketball State Championships, to be held March 7-9 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

Tickets for the Region II-6A tournament are $10 each for adults and $5 each for students and will be sold at the door with card or cash.
