May 1, 2024—Former Jersey Village High School football standout Patrick Paul was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the 2024 National Football League Draft.
Paul, an All-American offensive lineman at the University of Houston, was selected in the second round (55th overall) on April 26. He is a first-team All-Big 12 conference honoree holds the nation’s best pass block grade among tackles (91.5), permitting only one sack in 469 opportunities.

Former Cypress Woods High School football standout Christian Jones was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the fifth round (162 overall) on April 27. As an offensive lineman at the University of Texas, some of Jones’ honors include honorable mention All-Big 12 in 2022 and 2023, Joe Moore Award semifinalist, All-Big 12 team selection by USA Today and All-Texas second team by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football.
Following the 2024 draft, two fellow CFISD products signed with NFL teams as undrafted free agents.

The defensive back was named a second-team All-Sun Belt Conference selection and third-team All-Conference by Phil Steele at Georgia Southern University after transferring from Northwestern State University of Louisiana in 2023.

Cypress Creek High School graduate Miles Battle signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. The cornerback played in 46 games with four starts at Ole Miss before transferring to the University of Utah where he played in all 13 games in the 2023 season and finished with 32 tackles.
