Two CFISD girls’ basketball teams advance to regional quarterfinals
The Cypress Springs High School girls’ basketball team defeated Conroe Grand Oaks and advance to play Klein Collins at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 19 at Waller High School.
Feb. 19, 2024—The Cypress Lakes and Cypress Springs high school girls’ basketball teams advanced past the area round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs and move on to the regional quarterfinals, while Cypress Creek and Jersey Village high schools concluded their seasons.
Cypress Lakes High School beat Spring Westfield, 42-29. The Spartans advance to face Klein Oak at 6 p.m. on Feb. 19 at Waller High School (31213 Waller Spring Creek Road).
Cypress Springs defeated Conroe Grand Oaks, 80-37. The Panthers advance to meet Klein Collins at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 19 at Waller High School.
The Cypress Lakes High School girls’ basketball team defeated Spring Westfield and advance to face Klein Oak at 6 p.m. on Feb. 19 at Waller High School.
Tickets are $5 each for adults and students. Tickets for Cypress Lakes and Cypress Springs will be sold online.
Cypress Creek High School was defeated by Fort Bend Hightower, 53-34. The Cougars were District 17-6A’s second seed and finished the season as area round finalists.
Jersey Village High School was defeated by Katy Seven Lakes, 89-57. The Falcons were District 17-6A’s fourth seed and finished the season as area round finalists.
