An Honor Roll Recognition Ceremony to celebrate students who have achieved Honor Roll or Distinguished Honor Roll status will be held on May 20th at 8:30 am in the Cypress Woods Auditorium. Students will receive an invitation through their second period class.
Students receiving an individual academic award will be recognized at our annual Academic Awards Ceremony to be held on May 15th at 6:30 pm at the Richard E. Berry Center. A student receiving an individual academic award, as well as Honor Roll or Distinguished Honor Roll, is to attend this event only – not the Honor Roll Recognition Ceremony. Senior Honor Graduates (G.P.A. ≥ 6.0) will be presented with their honor cords at this event. Students will receive an invitation in the mail.
Award recognition status is officially determined at the conclusion of the 3rd grading period. Students must maintain all A’s for all 3 grading periods to earn “Distinguished”. Students must earn more A’s than B’s for all 3 grading periods to earn “Honor Roll”. Students qualifying for either honor roll must earn no less than an “S” in conduct in all classes for all grading periods.
Local credit classes do not count towards honor roll status (Student Assistant, Early Release, Late Arrival, Pass/Fail, Cheer/Spring, ACT/SAT Prep, and Algebra Lab)
